Plamingo was founded by Mr Aziz Ćurić in 1972 as a small injection moulding workshop with 8 employees. At a great loss to the community, Mr. Ćurić passed away in 1990, leaving the business to his 26-year-old son, Samir.
During the 90’s war, Plamingo continued working under Samir’s leadership and managed to survive. Since then, it has grown into a 300-employee business.
In 1997, we moved into the bathroom retail and wholesale space and, within a few years, became Bosnia’s largest tile importer with over 1million m2 of tiles sold annually.
In 2003, we also started our plastic electroplating business where, together with injection moulding, we now serve globally recognised clients and products. You have seen, used and touched our products at least a few dozen times in your life!
Today, the business is slowly transitioning into the hands of Samir’s son, Aziz, named after his grandfather. We have much to do over the next few years, all in pursuit of one main goal: to be Bosnia’s number 1 employer. And then Europe’s.
